Supports supply related activities for a facility to deliver excellence and integration between procurement and the team supporting facility.

What You Will Do:

Supporting delivery of a lean responsive and resilient material and services flow for the facility from source to dock and additional required points.

Recognizing the potential for cost and inventory reductions and quality improvement as well as responsibility for soundness of business proposals and risk assessment.

Operating and monitoring the supply network procurement functions to meet the defined response time cost quality and lean targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations.

Collaborating with business partners and suppliers and resolving facility specific supplier issues.

Degree Requirement

Degree or equivalent experience desired

What Skills You Will Have:

• Creates and documents process flows or workflows
• Identifies bottlenecks and monitors process efficiency

Data-Driven Decision Making

• Gathers and organizes relevant data for decisions
• Distinguishes signal vs. noise when interpreting data

Analytical Thinking

• Applies tools or techniques to analyze and solve problems
• Provides examples of using analytics to resolve issues

Effective Communication

• Delivers clear feedback and listens without defensiveness
• Prepares concise reports and presentations

Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP)

• Plans and schedules production runs ensuring material availability
• Uses scheduling and inventory systems to manage jobs
• Follows key criteria to collect information needed to make good production Logistics Management

• Forecasts delivery times and costs using tools
• Maintains shipment and invoice records accurately
• Assists in developing process flows for lead time tracking

Supply Chain Management

• Works with supply chain software and processes
• Analyzes supply chain data to identify trends and improvements
• Supports integration of partner and supplier transactions

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

Demonstrated positive attitude and adaptability

Proven ability to learn new systems quickly

Experience with Caterpillar systems or Mapleton products/suppliers

Background in purchasing or procurement
