What youll do

As a Data Engineer you are responsible for:

• Deliver as Data engineer in Business Data cloud (BDC) which is foundation of artificial intelligence and machine learning scenarios of SAP
• Engage in Data Preparation Data Integration Data Management and preparation tasks in BDC/Datasphere
• Understand business processes select best approaches evaluate their performance and assess business relevanceto implement for Data mesh data modelling and Data governance.
• Support in preparation of Data Science AI ML Embedded in S/4 Databricks and other solutions.
• Expand own skill sets to other and upcoming areas of AI ML Predictive Analytics of SAP
• Must be able to work as a team player yet can work independently.
• Analytical results-driven and have a solution-oriented approach.
• Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including verbal written presentation and listening.
• Must be open to travel.

What you bring

Required skills (must have) :

• You should have 10 years experience in implementing developing servicing SAP Datawarehouse technologies of SAP BW SAP Hana.
• Hana Data modeling / manipulation / Data ingestion SQLbased transformations and performance design
• Secure retrieval from Datasphere/HANA via Open SQL; chunking embeddings vectors
• Data modeling and semantics - Dimensional and semantic modeling for analytic Replication vs. federation tradeoffs; CDC scheduling/monitoring
• Experience in ETL tools like SDI SDA SLT of data ingestion technologies.
• SQL optimization calculation view modeling patterns pruning caching strategies
• Experienced in building connections virtual vs. replicated data SQL/graphical views replication/data flows
• SAP data & analytics landscape expertise on SAP BW 7.x and BW/4HANA S/4HANA analytics touchpoints (CDS views embedded analytics integration patterns)
• Open SQL schema consumption patterns for external compute/ML notebooks
• Very good analytical skills to solve complex problems; a structured reliable and independent way of working under pressure; a safe and friendly appearance and general communication skills.
• Good exposure and relative eperience in Data Architecture Data modelling of Data sphere
• Worked in visualization tools like SAC BOBJ Bex Analyzer

Preferred skills (good to have)

• Analytics and Visualization tools like SAP Analytics cloud Business Objects.
• Knowhow on Databricks Snowflake Google Analytics is added advantage.
• Scripting and automation - Python for data/ML workflows against HANA Cloud/Datasphere (hdbcli hana-ml JDBC/ODBC)
• Orchestration/monitoring patterns for data pipelines
• Python hana-ml integration; optional AI Core for ML ops
• Knowhow in AI technologies (AI MCP Agent-to-Agent Joule and/or code-based agent frameworks

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / COMPTENCIES

• Graduate or masters degree in computer or Electronics & Communication Engineering / Computer science / Information Technology systems/ Computer applications / IT Business Systems or equivalent. /Master/Bachler of Science in Comp Science/Technology
• Must have excellent communication and collaboration with team members customers and senior level management team.
• Coordination support for important customer issues (investigating providing workarounds) for complex and cross-component issues.
• Experience in communication with customers and managing expectations.
• Proactive in learning and highly self-motivated

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 10 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 3projects exposed as Data Warehouse Data Analysis modeler Embedded ML in S/4
• Experience in Client/ Customer interaction
• Experience in System Administration / Support
• ABAP/Basis Skillset is plus.
