What youll do:

Summary: We are seeking a Development Expert to strengthen our SAP Commerce Cloud team. You will lead the development of cloud-native components that support scalable secure and high-performing e-commerce solutions. This role combines hands-on engineering with strategic leadership offering the opportunity to shape technical direction and mentor a growing team.

The Role:

As a Development Expert you will drive the technical vision and execution of SAP Commerce Cloud extensibility. You will collaborate closely with the Product Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to define implement and deliver high-impact features. Your responsibilities include guiding architectural decisions mentoring developers and fostering a culture of excellence in code quality performance and security. You will ensure the teams success through strategic planning technical oversight and continuous improvement while promoting collective code ownership and quality-aware development practices..

What you bring:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development including at least 3 years in a senior technical or leadership role.

Extensive experience in Backend and Frontend technologies and architectures with the ability to guide architectural decisions and mentor team members.

Proficiency in JavaScript/ or Java and frameworks such as Angular or Spring.

Strong background in CI/CD pipelines Git-based version control code reviews and automated testing strategies.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP Azure AWS) including designing and deploying scalable secure applications.

Experience with SAP BTP is a heavy plus.

Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams and support customer interactions.

Fluent English language skills (verbal and written) with the ability to produce and review technical documentation.
