Skills and Competencies
- Broad understanding of macroeconomic theory and data with the ability to distill insights from macroeconomic datasets
- Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to convey complex economic concepts in clear non-technical language
- Strong data analysis skills with experience using statistical software packages (e.g. R Python EViews Stata)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Motivated and responsible with the ability to work well with others and independently without daily supervision
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
- Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices including risk management and ethical use
Education
- Completing a Bachelor degree or currently in the first year of a masters program in Economics or a closely related field
- Available for a 10-week internship from June 15 to August 21 2026
Responsibilities
- Sourcing organizing and analyzing macroeconomic and financial data
- Building simple statistical models to support economic analysis
- Contributing to company publications and research outputs
- Writing topical analysis on economic and financial trends
- Collaborating with team members under supervision to ensure high-quality deliverables
About the Team
Our Economics team is responsible for forecasting and analyzing economies worldwide. These forecasts form an integral part of Moodys broader solutions for global banks financial institutions and corporates. The team combines rigorous data analysis with economic expertise to deliver insights that support strategic decision-making across industries.
