Description

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Materials Handler will stage and transport materials supplies and finished products to the designated locations according to the requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receives distributes and stores products as directed in designated locations.
Loads and unloads carrier LTL and customer trucks
Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions locations and other pertinent information.
Labels incoming parts
Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.
Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
Validates signs and forwards bill of landings invoices and other documentation to the accounting department.
Respond to supervisor requests as needed
Follow safety standards and rules

The employer may require an employee to perform other duties as assigned on a temporary and infrequent basis

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good math and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Efficient time management skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to create and maintain cooperative team building relationships.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent and/or up to six months of related experience
Forklift license or the capacity to obtain such license
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Experience working in a manufacturing company preferred
Computer experience is a plus
