Job Title: Personal Support Worker

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support services to clients in their homes helping them to maintain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing dressing toileting and grooming

- Monitor and record clients vital signs medication intake and any changes in their physical or mental health

- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed

- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients

- Accompany clients to appointments and outings as required

- Communicate effectively with clients their families and other healthcare professionals

- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided

Qualifications:

- Personal Support Worker certification from a recognized institution

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role

- Valid First Aid and CPR certification

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate patient and empathetic attitude towards clients

- Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset
