Within a team setting provides a variety of administrative and staff support services for departmental operations. This will provide intake and authorization/reauthorization support.
Independently plans organizes and completes daily work under supervision in a manner supportive of a team environment. Staff are expected to be patient-centered in the daily work providing good customer service to the patients we serve.
Education Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Education Preferred
- Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
Experience
- 1 year of general office experience required
- Medical office experience preferred but not required
- Experience with health care authorizations/billing preferred but not required
Competencies Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Requires a basic understanding of general office routines and procedures with the ability to file accurately
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; proficient with computers to include keyboarding basic navigation and use of email
- Ability to work with multi-line phone and computer systems accurately and efficiently
- Effective customer service and relationship building skills with patients visitors and staff; ability to respect dignity of all patients and follow HIPAA rules without breaches in confidentiality
- Proficient listening verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and duties with deadlines
