Job Summary
Ventia is a leading infrastructue services company operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities.
In partnership with the Australian Defence Force we are currently seeking aFood and Beverage Attendantto join the team atAnglesea Barracks (Hobart)
This is a full-time permanent position operating across a 7-day roster. The hourly rate is $27.10 Super
Duties Include:
- Support and implement Ventias Food Safety Program including hazard identification control measures and incident recording.
- Clean sanitize and maintain equipment furniture and premises reporting necessary repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service including bar service POS operation meal ordering and general cleaning.
- Apply HACCP controls to manage food safety hazards.
- Wash crockery cutlery glassware and cooking utensils as required.
- Process meals in the system handle cash per protocols and report suspicious behaviour.
- Assist with basic food preparation and cooking duties.
- Manage stock including rotation labelling restocking and stock-taking.
- Ensure bar services comply with Responsible Service of Alcohol Standards.
- Assist with customer complaints and resolutions.
- Maintain and update Mess signage and notice boards.
- Complete all required training.
- Deliver meals and catering services.
About You:
- Basic Food Handler Certificate (training provided by employer)
- Current RSA certification
- Knowledge of Food Safety Standards relevant legislation and statutory obligations
- Understanding of Defence Force operations (desirable)
- Experience in food and beverage service
- Strong customer service commitment
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexibly in a complex multi-stakeholder environment
- You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for this position as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check.
