Heres What You Need
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
One year experience with chart auditing quality improvement data entry required.
Associates Degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred.
One year experience with Medical Records preferred.
ICD-10 coding experience preferred.
RHIT certification preferred.
What You Will Do
Analyze medical records daily to determine trauma registry eligibility.
Maintain and organize trauma registry data for coding and abstraction.
Perform queries and generate reports from the trauma registry database.
Collect patient care data and report significant findings to Trauma Program leadership.
Monitor trauma patient records for quality improvement indicators.
Integrate ACS guidelines into trauma patient care processes.
Support coordination of care across injury prevention pre-hospital acute emergent and rehabilitation phases.
