Associate Space Vehicle Controller

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an Associate Space Vehicle Controller (Level 2) to join our team in Aurora Colorado.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Researches analyzes and compiles basic technical data for company products and system-level concepts in the projected operational environments to optimize effectiveness over the program lifecycle.

  • Applies systems engineering processes methodologies and tools to the design of basic system of systems systems and new product development.

  • Derives and develops basic architectures functional requirements refinements and product designs.

  • Assists in the integration of technical cost value risks and specialty engineering considerations into definition of the product.

  • Interfaces with other members of the project or program teams management sales and marketing staff customers and suppliers to meet group organization and company objectives.

  • Works under general supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Experience with Ground Systems and/or prior Military experience

  • Able to complete the Space Vehicle Certification program (Post Start) for continued employment which requires a combination of self-study on-the-job time allotted and on-the-job (OJT) training

  • Willing to work rotating shifts which include working days nights weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Space Based Systems

Shift:

This position is for a rotating 12-hour shift.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph Pre-Start is required.
