Introduction

Aga Khan Universitys (AKU) Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) has launched the Master of Science in Health Data Science (MSHDS) program the first of its kind in the region. This program is designed to train the next generation of scientists in data analytics artificial intelligence (AI) big data informatics mathematical and statistical modelling and machine learning (ML).

The MSHDS program uniquely integrates data science and AI techniques to address critical health challenges and advance public health health systems and clinical research. To support this new initiative AKU is inviting applications for faculty positions dedicated to teaching research and mentorship in health data science.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Senior Coordinator Master of Science in Health Data Science (MSHDS) Department of Community Health Sciences. :

Responsibilites:

You will be responsible to:

  • coordinate the admissions process for the MSc program(s)

  • arrange and manage all logistical support for academic activities during face-to-face and online sessions

  • develop and maintain program databases and information repositories

  • liaise with the Registrars Office for student registration examinations seating arrangements and related administrative matters

  • organize logistical arrangements and assist faculty during examination invigilation

  • maintain records of course materials program files and documents

  • support faculty in printing and uploading course materials on the VLE

  • serve as the focal person for students regarding teaching schedules assignments and routine communication

  • coordinate welcome week logistics and support Program Director and faculty

  • arrange admission interviews for program faculty

  • assist in maintaining alumni records and contacts

  • manage program correspondence with internal and external stakeholders

  • build linkages with academic and healthcare institutions for collaboration

  • respond to queries received through the programs centralized email

  • prepare semester and examination review schedules for timely dissemination

  • manage all program-related documentation and communication

  • coordinate Program Committee meetings record minutes and ensure follow-up actions

  • assist faculty with typing presentations and teaching preparation

  • coordinate with full-time sessional and visiting faculty on teaching assignments and schedules

  • ensure timely availability of reading materials for students

  • serve as VLE assistant for students and faculty

  • collect and maintain student feedback and ensure completion of online teaching evaluations

  • coordinate Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) with the relevant office

  • manage booking of classrooms lecture halls venues and computer labs

  • prepare periodic documents and reports for QTLNet

  • ensure accuracy and adherence to timelines for all teaching and learning activities

  • coordinate the DRC process with students and the DRC Chair

  • coordinate stakeholder engagement and ensure satisfaction

  • monitor project progress analyse data and effectively communicate outcomes while promoting positive team collaboration.
