Full time Security Guard-G driver's license required (Police Foundations or Border Services Diploma)

We are seeking highly motivated security personnel for positions within a physical security environment specializing in the protection of energy and highly sophisticated technology for electric vehicles. You will have experience within an industrial environment within the energy sector or a similar sector where you are responsible for protecting assets. You have strong customer service acumen with ability to resolve issues with a diverse background of individuals including visitors truck drivers contractors and client employees.

Position Overview:

Wages: $18.00/hr (depending on site)

Shift timings: Rotational (Days and Nights) Candidates must be able to do both.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons. Denying entry to anyone without authorization.
• Operate gates at gatehouse locations screening all visitors and truck drivers.
• Inspect trailers ensuring trailer doors are locked and sealed before the truck leaves.
• Assist mobile operations teams with security protocols and enhance security at strategic locations.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.
• Perform foot patrols inside and outside the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• 1 years of security experience minimum within large scale security operations is strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• G class drivers license is required. Vehicle is required to travel to the site as it is not bus accessible.
• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
