Fedwire Payment Business Analyst with 10 years of experience requires expertise in payment processes requirement gathering and technical documentation as well as a deep understanding of Fedwire ISO 20022 and other payment systems. The role involves acting as a subject matter expert to define requirements guide development teams manage stakeholder expectations and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

• Key responsibilities
• Requirements management: Elicit analyze and document business requirements for payment transformation projects translating them into functional specifications.
• Process expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on end-to-end payment processes including Fedwire ACH and international payments and advise on process improvements.
• Technical and message analysis: Provide expertise on payment message formats like ISO 20022 (pacs camt pain) and support migrations from older formats like SWIFT MT.
• Stakeholder management: Collaborate with various teams (business development QA operations) to ensure alignment and manage expectations on deliverables scope and timelines.
• Project support: Contribute to project planning conduct workshops lead demos and support change management activities such as training and user guides.
• Risk and compliance: Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements including fraud and sanctions screening and that there is traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Required skills and experience
• Fedwire and payment systems: Deep knowledge of Fedwire and other payment systems like ACH SWIFT RTP and international payment ecosystems.
• ISO 20022: Hands-on experience with ISO 20022 message types is essential.
• Business analysis: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business analysis with a strong emphasis on payments.
• Documentation: Proven ability to create detailed documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs) and functional requirement documents (FRDs).
• Agile and project management: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Technical proficiency: Experience with process modeling tools like Visio and strong analytical skills to assess and improve business processes.
• Soft skills: Excellent communication leadership and negotiation skills to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Educational background: A bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Business Finance or Information Technology is typically required.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Work on Fedwire Funds Service integration message formats (ISO 20022 legacy formats) and settlement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Reserve Bank guidelines and real-time gross settlement (RTGS) principles.
• Solution Design & Documentation
  • Prepare BRDs FRDs Use Cases and Process Flows.
  • Define functional specifications for enhancements and new implementations.
• Stakeholder Management
