Duties can include:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation including drafting legal documents pleadings and discovery requests as well as filing/efiling with the courts.
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents templates
- File and organize case documents both electronically and physically
- Maintain document management systems and ensure accurate and timely filing of documents
- Prepare trial binders and exhibits for court appearances
- Coordinate with clients opposing counsel and court personnel as needed
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments managing calendars and answering phone calls
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a litigation legal assistant supporting multiple attorneys
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities
