A Lead Visual Designer is a senior role responsible for the creative direction and visual strategy of a companys brand across digital platforms. They lead and mentor a team of designers ensure design quality aligns with user needs and business goals and collaborate with other teams like product and marketing to create compelling visual experiences. This role requires a strong portfolio expertise in visual design principles and proficiency with tools like Figma.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Experience: Typically requires 5-8 years of experience in visual design for digital products with proven experience in a lead or mentorship role.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in design tools like Figma is essential. Experience with other Adobe MarTech tools is often beneficial.
  • Design expertise: Deep understanding of typography layout color hierarchy iconography and motion graphics.
  • Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • UX/UI knowledge: Knowledge of user experience principles user research and web/mobile design guidelines.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to translate complex briefs into compelling and effective visual designs.
