Job Summary

Job Title : Lead Data Warehouse & Database Modernization Engineer

Location: Albany NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Qualifications:

Tax System Design & Support: Lead the technical design development maintenance and end-user support for critical Tax & Revenue Accounting Systems and Tax Identification Systems within a government taxation organization context.
Advanced DB2 LUW Administration: Serve as the subject matter expert for DB2 LUW on AIX including administering environments utilizing PureXML and the Database Partitioning Feature (DPF).
- Execute full-stack DBA duties: logical/physical design comprehensive performance tuning (storage memory buffering) robust backup/recovery strategies and object maintenance.
- Manage data lifecycle for high-volume systems including complex data purging roll-off and movement processes.
- Develop solutions for shredding natively stored XML data to flattened structures.
Legacy Database Programming & Design: Provide expert-level database design and programming support for systems utilizing Computer Associates IDMS.
- Program using the IDMS DMLO language and perform deep logical design database navigation analysis specification writing testing and documentation.
Real-Time Data Replication: Configure administer and maintain IBM InfoSphere Data Replication Change Data Capture (CDC) (ver 9.5 or higher) for 24/7 high-volume transactional processing databases.
- Ensure seamless and high-availability data replication between DB2 for z/OS and DB2 LUW on AIX.
Application Performance Optimization: Conduct advanced application performance analysis and tuning across distributed and mainframe platforms to ensure maximum system throughput and efficiency.
Mainframe Troubleshooting: Provide specialized support and troubleshooting for applications running on the IBM Mainframe environment specifically involving DB2 z/OS and CICS/MQ interactions.
