Job Summary

Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Marlborough MA

ROLE SUMMARY

This role will be responsible for accounts receivable and fixed assets. This role involves tasks like account reconciliation month-end and year-end closing processes as well as processing of invoices on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the month end close process booking journal entries and preparing various analysis and reports.
Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations (primarily AR and fixed assets).
Review orders for revenue and invoicing accuracy.
Process invoicing daily and monthly.
Work with 3rd party banks for funding of customer purchases.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Track and process customer credits.
Proactively identify ways to streamline and improve current processes (i.e. reduce manual work by partnering with other dept for better solutions).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration is required.
High level of proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
2 years working in an accounting department or public accounting .
Willing to evaluate and challenge status quo and take action to change when necessary is essential.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.

HIGHLY BENEFICIAL SKILLS

Experience with Microsoft Great Plains (GP Dynamics) a plus.
