About your workplace

The Digital Direct Business Manager drives the success of the Direct Business organization by owning key cross-functional activities typically handled at the VP level. With an enterprise-wide view the role fills gaps in ownership and provides the structure alignment and senior-level communication needed for organizational effectiveness. The manager leads cross-functional teams fosters accountability and promotes collaboration and continuous improvement through clear processes and expectations. As the VP Digital Business Directs trusted deputy the role provides day-to-day leadership and decision support enabling the VP to focus on strategic priorities while strengthening governance alignment and cohesion across the Direct Business organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the strategic business partner and operational leader to the VP Digital Business Direct ensuring the organization maintains strategic focus while driving effective execution across teams.
  • Represent the VP in selected forums and leadership meetings acting as an empowered proxy to provide direction uphold priorities and ensure momentum on key initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver board-level presentations decision papers and executive communications that clearly articulate business priorities performance and strategic implications.
  • Lead coordinate and manage cross-functional operating rhythms ensuring Direct Business initiatives are aligned resourced sequenced and advancing against strategic objectives.
  • Oversee progress of key initiatives proactively identifying risks interdependencies and ownership gaps; drive resolution by aligning stakeholders escalating where necessary and recommending actionable solutions.
  • Drive governance cadence and leadership decision-making readiness ensuring forums are well-structured materials meet executive standards decisions are clearly captured and outcomes are followed through to completion.
  • Act as a trusted advisor thought partner and leadership extension to the VP providing judgment stabilizing influence and confidential handling of complex or sensitive matters.
  • Lead and champion improvements in ways of working organizational effectiveness and change management fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and disciplined execution across the Direct Business.

Skills for position

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience within complex Digital or eCommerce environment working in a corporate context with a business responsibility.
  • Experienced leader in multidisciplinary eCommerce team and senior experts
  • Background in consultancy is a pre. Experienced in executive communication: Skilled in preparing and delivering board-level presentations and materials.
  • Business management & structuring: Able to organize complex initiatives and embed governance frameworks while keeping the whole organizational context in mind.
  • Political savvy & organizational diplomacy: Skilled at navigating complex stakeholder landscapes at senior management level
  • Ideally a degree in business management.
