Manage a high-quality Property & Affairs caseload with excellent support

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a respected specialist firm in Manchester. This role offers high-quality deputyship work strong development opportunities and long-term progression in one of the UKs most established CoP teams.
The firm is known for handling complex and high-value Property & Affairs deputyship cases including professional deputy appointments financial abuse investigations and contested Court of Protection applications. With continued growth and increasing new instructions the team is seeking an additional fee earner at Grade B/C level.
Youll take responsibility for your own caseload supported by skilled Case Workers who manage day-to-day financial administration. Youll also work closely with senior specialists on complex matters gaining valuable exposure to contested applications high-value estates and multidimensional safeguarding issues.
The Role
Manage a varied Court of Protection Property & Affairs caseload
Support senior lawyers on complex and high-value deputyship matters
Prepare Court applications bundles and instructions to counsel
Advise families carers and professional teams on practical and legal issues
Work with vulnerable clients including those with dementia birth injuries and acquired brain injuries
Hybrid model: at least 2 days in the Manchester office (more during induction)
About You
Minimum 2 years Court of Protection experience (Solicitor Legal Executive or experienced Fee Earner)
Background in Property & Affairs deputyship or mixed Private Client/CoP work
Experience in:
Professional deputyship work
Contested CoP applications
Financial abuse investigations
Preparing Court documents/bundles
Advising on LPAs and lay deputyships
Strong communication and client-management skills
Empathetic organised and confident working autonomously
