Objective

To strengthen our European headquarters in Frankfurt am Main we are seeking an experienced professional who will take on a key role in providing business-oriented legal support across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. This position ensures consistent governance standards effective contract management and aligned legal strategies across the region. By partnering closely with cross-functional teams the Legal Leader Europe safeguards Nemaks interests ensures compliance and enables efficient and sustainable business operations across 8 countries in Europe.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal guidance to the European Purchasing organization on supplier contracts negotiations disputes and commercially relevant decisions across key material and service categories.
• Oversee corporate secretarial responsibilities for Nemaks European entities ensuring compliant documentation and effective coordination of shareholder and board activities.
• Provide legal support to HSE topics ensuring awareness with standards and compliance with relevant European environmental sustainability zoning and energy regulations.
• Manage and coordinate legal procedures claims and litigation in Europe including the supervision of external counsel and alignment of legal strategies with business priorities.
• Represent Nemak before regional governmental agencies and trade associations
• Support daily business operations by assessing legal implications of strategic initiatives conducting investigations and providing pragmatic risk-aware legal advice.
• Monitor European legal and regulatory developments evaluate potential risks and opportunities and ensure proactive alignment across key stakeholders.

Position Requirements

• A German law degree or an equivalent legal qualification combined with a solid understanding of European legal frameworks.
• Broad professional experience gained in a legal department or law firm including exposure to senior legal stakeholders and complex corporate or commercial matters.
• Strong expertise in cross-border European corporate and commercial law compliance governance and regulatory topics.
• Demonstrated ability to draft negotiate and manage contracts and legal disputes effectively.
• Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills combined with a hands-on and business-oriented mindset.
• German native speaker. Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
• Confident use of MS Office tools.
