POSITION SUMMARY
Advanced Energy Industries Inc. is seeking a dynamic Director People & Culture (Global HR Business Partner) to join our team in Denver Colorado. This strategic HR leader partners directly with the executive leaders of our global corporate functions Finance & Accounting Information Technology Human Resources and Legal & Trade Compliance to design and deliver people strategies that drive business success.
As a trusted advisor you will lead talent organizational effectiveness and change initiatives and serve as the primary HR partner for executive leaders their leadership teams and global organizations. This global role requires close collaboration with other HR business partners Centers of Excellence local HR teams and business leaders to develop integrated solutions and advance key HR initiatives. Deep business acumen and a proactive approach are essential to understanding and influencing your client groups strategic direction financial performance and competitive landscape.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Partnership: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders influencing and challenging them to develop and execute impactful HR strategies.
- Leadership Team Engagement: Actively participate in corporate function leadership teams as their HR partner representing HR and leading people and culture priorities.
- Business Alignment: Regularly engage with executive and business leaders to understand objectives and proactively recommend tailored people solutions.
- Talent Management: Partner with executive and business leaders to assess talent strengths identify gaps and drive development opportunities.
- Change Leadership: Lead and support organizational change initiatives ensuring alignment with best practices and business needs.
- HR Program Delivery: Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned functions collaborating with COEs to design and implement relevant programs.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze and use HR metrics and trends to inform solutions policies and programs.
- Employee Relations: Work with local HR teams to resolve complex employee relations issues and foster a positive work environment.
- Performance Management: Provide guidance to leaders on coaching career development and disciplinary actions to senior leaders.
- Organizational Effectiveness: Advise on organizational design workforce planning compensation talent management and succession planning.
- Learning & Development: Identify development needs and partner with Talent Development to achieve organizational goals.
- Culture Champion: Model company values and foster an environment of engagement inclusion and high performance.
- Problem Solving: Proactively address challenges using expertise in change management communications and HR best practices.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Location: Denver CO (Corporate HQ).
- Work Schedule: In-person first with adhoc flexibility as needed (no remote or hybrid).
- Setting: Standard office environment.
- Travel: Up to 10% global and domestic travel.

EXPERIENCE
- 10 years of progressive HR experience including senior business partner and HR generalist roles.
- Experience supporting senior leadership in large global organizations (support of CFO CIO CHRO General Counsel preferred).
- Global public company experience strongly preferred.
- Global / international experience strongly preferred.
- Background in HR for global engineering technology or manufacturing companies strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all HR disciplines and contemporary HR market practices.
- Demonstrated success designing and implementing people strategies in fast-paced environments.
- Advanced interpersonal listening presentation and facilitation skills; ability to influence at all levels.
EDUCATION
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources Business or related discipline.
- Advanced degree in Human Resources Organization Development MBA or related field is preferred but not essential.
- HR certification (PHR SPHR GPHR SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP or similar) preferred.
COMPENSATION
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $175000 to $210000 per year. This position is also eligible to participate in the Companys Short-Term and Long-Term Incentive Plans.
