You will manage the digital ventures scouting funnel and assess the maturity and relevance of potential opportunities. You will steer buildbuypartner considerations and highlight new Digital Trust growth areas. Combining analytical depth ecosystem awareness and clear communication the role supports strategic prioritisation and strengthens SGSs external positioning
Key responsibilities:
- Spot emerging tech trends and startup activity across accelerators hubs and VCs to identify disruptive opportunities.
- Monitor major digital regulations (e.g. AI Act CRA NIS2 DORA) and outline their potential impact on new growth areas.
- Activate and coordinate existing internal networks to capture early signals from regions business units and experts.
- Manage the flow of opportunities in the digital ventures pipeline ensuring clear prioritization and stage-gating toward commercial relevance.
- Screen startups for maturity traction strategic fit and valuation indicators engaging experts for deeper technical or financial checks.
- Keep a sharp radar on priority themes emerging domains and key ecosystem players.
- Create short actionable briefs highlighting opportunity spaces potential disruptions and valuation insights.
- Deliver high-level market and competitive intelligence to guide build/buy/partner decisions and early venture exploration.
- Work closely with the wider Digital Ventures and Innovation team to align market insights with venture shaping and feasibility assessments.
- Present synthesized insights to senior stakeholders in a clear actionable format.
- Support Digital Trust marketing with content messaging and positioning to ensure SGS stands out in key themes.
Qualifications :
Essential Experience:
- Advanced degree in business innovation technology management analytics or a related field bridging tech and economics.
- Strong track record in startup ecosystems corporate innovation strategy or technology/market intelligence with proven ability to deliver results in these areas.
- Demonstrated skill in interpreting emerging tech trends and turning market signals into actionable insights.
- Experience managing scouting pipelines or opportunity funnels including early-stage screening and understanding of valuation indicators (funding stages traction metrics benchmarks).
- Exceptional analytical and synthesis skills able to distill complex market regulatory and ecosystem data into clear insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
- High curiosity adaptability and collaborative mindset for working across global teams.
