Responsibilities
- The Womens Float Pool RN is required to work in multiple Womens Health inpatient care settings (Labor & Delivery High-Risk Perinatal or Mother Baby).
- The Womens Float Pool Registered Nurse manages the care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the nursing division including the Northside Nursing Collaborative Care Model. The practice of all professional nurses at Northside Hospital reflects the values of collaboration communication coordination integration and empowerment.
- Womens Float Pool Registered Nurse positions are for those nurses that have reached a specific level of nursing experience to possess the knowledge skills competencies and critical thinking abilities to work in specialty areas.
- The Womens Float Pool RNs will be assigned to work in those areas where competencies have been verified and specific unit requirements met.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Must hold Certified in American Heart Associations Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:
- BSN degree
- Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
- Additional Life Support credential (ACLS PALS NRP etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
