Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
Location: Rochester NY 14626
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift Options:
Days 310 hours (07:0017:30)
Days 410 hours (07:0017:30)
Schedule: MondayFriday No weekends holidays or call
Hours: 72 hours per pay period
Orientation: 16 hours
Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
Position Overview
A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced EP Lab Registered Nurse to support procedural care in a high-acuity cardiac electrophysiology environment. The role alternates between 3 and 4 ten-hour shifts weekly and involves hands-on participation in specialized EP procedures device insertions and rhythm management interventions.
Requirements
Licensure & Experience
Minimum 2 years of EP Lab RN experience
EPIC experience required
First-time travelers accepted
No pending licenses accepted
Certifications
BLS
ACLS
Clinical Skills Required
Must be proficient in EP Lab clinical competencies including:
Electrophysiology procedures
Baseline measurements
Cardiac ablations & cardiac mapping
Cardioversion & conduction studies
Pacemaker and AICD insertion/programming
Scrubbing for EP procedures
Dysrhythmia interpretation/management
Sheath removal and post-procedure monitoring
Emergency meds IV vasopressors antihypertensives
Thrombolytics & blood product administration
ACT testing
Use of vascular closure systems (Perclose StarClose etc.)
Topical hemostasis devices (D-Stat Chito-Seal Syvek Patch)
Implanted port care and maintenance
Experience using Micropace monitoring system (required for ablations)
Additional Information
Scrubs provided
RTO limit: No more than 1 week allowed per contract
COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
