We are looking for a highly experienced and technically strong Power Electronics Associate Manager to lead the team of development of cutting-edge aircraft power conversion systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep domain expertise in digital control of Aerospace High density power converters planar magnetics and wide bandgap devices such as SiC and GaN and handling the team. This role involves leading technical teams Collaborating with Layout Mechanical team customer resource management and implementing advanced control strategies on DSPs. Expertise in DO-160/DO-254/DO-178 aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design control and validation of power converters for aircraft electrical systems including:
- LLC resonant converters
- PFC (Power Factor Correction) circuits
- High-efficiency isolated DC/DC converters
- Implement digital control algorithms on DSP processors including control loop tuning and PI controller implementation for real-time performance.
- Understanding Planar Magnetics to meet high power density and thermal requirements.
- Lead hardware design reviews debugging and lab validation of power electronics systems under aerospace operating conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems hardware software and mechanical engineers to deliver integrated powertrain solutions.
- Supervise mentor and guide a team of engineers ensuring project deliverables are met with high technical standards.
- Prepare and present technical reports design documentation and customer presentations.
- Ensure compliance with aviation industry standards and safety regulations in power electronics design.
- Ensure Skill development Resource management for the project conflict management within the teams
- Strategic thinking building the strong team culture evaluating multiple solutions conducting performance review
- Building the strong professional relationships with counterpart.
- Setting the measurable goals to the team along with Providing constructive feedback
- Allocating resources appropriately and tracking the progress
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- 7 years of experience in power electronics design preferably in aerospace or aviation.
- Lead the team of 10 to 12 engineers
- Proven expertise in:
- Team handling
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good understanding on Battery management systems and aviation-grade power supplies
- SiC and GaN power semiconductors
- Good proficiency in FPGA/DSP-based control of power systems
- knowledge of PI controller tuning digital compensation techniques and real-time embedded control.
- Programming skills in Embedded C and experience working with real-time processors or MCUs.
- Hands-on experience with power electronics hardware debugging lab equipment and test setups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with strong technical presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
- Ability to manage the resources Conflict management
- Working knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and powertrain architecture is essential.
- Experience with DO-160/DO-254/DO-178 aerospace standards.
- Knowledge of thermal management and EMI/EMC requirements in aviation systems.
- Exposure to hybrid-electric or electric propulsion systems.
