The Role
As aTechnical Quality Analyst you will be responsible for new initiatives and support our Global Operations Technology portfolio of applications. These are widely used and integrated with the different lines of businesses across Scotiabank. The portfolio spans across systems that keep the bank safe and secure.
The incumbent will ensure the quality and integrity of software solutions within the Global Operations Technology team. You will contribute to testing strategy planning execution automation and reporting while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Is this role right for you In this role you will:
- Develop and execute test strategies plans and cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional regression integration and system testing.
- Identify log and track defects using tools like JIRA.
- Collaborate with developers business analysts and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Support automation efforts using tools such as Selenium Java etc.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices.
- Prepare documentation such as test strategies test plans and exit reports.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role Wed love to work with you if you have:
- University or College degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 8 years of experience working within SDLC/TDLC environments.
- Strong experience in test planning execution and defect management.
- Experience in automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium Cucumber Gherkin etc.).
- Experience with test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA Confluence Bitbucket and Git.
- Familiarity with SQL queries for test validation.
- Experience in the Canadian financial services industry is a strong asset.
