Responsibilities
Operates ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of designated portions of the human anatomy of infant pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients.
Qualifications
Requirements for Ultrasound Technologists | |
Initial Qualifications |
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography (ARRT) (S). OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

Continuing Education | Sonographers must be in compliance with the ARDMS ARDMS ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education appropriate to their practices |
Requirements for Vascular Technologists | |
Initial Qualifications |

Continuing Education | Sonographers must be in compliance with the ARDMS ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education appropriate to their practices |
Requirements for Sonographer or Mammography Technologist Breast Ultrasound | |
Initial Qualifications | ARDMS certification and current registration or ARRT post-primary certification and current registration in breast sonography or ARRT certification and current registration and MQSA qualified AND 5 CEUs specific to breast ultrasound Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment |
Continuing Experience | Regular performance of breast ultrasound exams |
Continuing Education | Registered Technologists

Preferred:
Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology
Prior experience in ultrasound
