Responsibilities

The Operations Business Analyst plays a key role in utilizing data to analyze improve and optimize the supply chain and customer service operations and processes of the organization. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain and Customer Service and is responsible for gathering and interpreting data identifying trends creating reports and working cross-functionally to support strategic initiatives for the Operations Team.

Data & Reporting

Build and managedashboardsandreporting toolsto visualize KPIs forecast accuracy comparisons to multiple scenarios and inventory trends.
Envision data needs that can help enhance understanding and analysis of assigned businesses and support other team members in their data requests from internal ERP BI and forecasting systems
Work with IT or developers to automate reports and streamline data flows when possible.
Deliver high-quality actionable insights through ad hoc and recurring reporting
Work with large datasets to performadvanced analytics root cause analysis and data cleansing using Excel and other tools.
Build and maintain real time inventory dashboards to track stock levels order status and in-transit inventory.
Develop supplier scorecard methodology that provides visibility into vendor performance metrics.

Strategic Analysis

Develop and maintain analytical tools to monitor key supply chain performance metrics (e.g. inventory levels and turns order fulfillment forecast accuracy) identify inefficiencies and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Identify performance trends inefficiencies and improvement opportunities using structured data analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and evolve operational KPIs and drive the organization to achieve stated goals
Translate complex datasets into concise recommendations for cross-functional teams
Ensure data accuracy and integrity in supply chain systems and drive continuous improvements.

Process & Tooling Improvements

Contribute to the identification and implementation of best practices that enhance efficiency cost-effectiveness and data integrity
Partner with operations leadership to refine workflows improve efficiency and scale solutions
Help vet and implement tools for reporting communication and automation
Document new workflows and enable teams with clear SOPs and playbooks
Stay informed about industry best practices technologies and regulatory requirements affecting the supply chain.

Project Management

Support the execution of cross-functional initiativesscoping requirements building timelines and ensuring follow-through
Track project progress through collaboration with stakeholders in procurement logistics planning and IT to align data insights with business needs and operational goals.

Required skills/experience

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Analytics Operations or related field.
35 years of experience in business operations data analytics demand planning or similar cross-functional roles
Working knowledge of ERP and demand forecasting systems (e.g. SAP Anaplan Oracle NetSuite) is a strong plus.
Expert-level Excel skillsincluding pivot tables Power Query advanced formulas and VBA (a plus).
Experience withdashboard creationusing tools like Power BI Tableau or similar.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally with the ability to work across teams.
Detail-oriented organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively with accuracy and accountability.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office package
Strong background and comfort working directly with large sets of datasets and translating it into analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of supply chain principles
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations and be able to thoroughly understand how the data is constructed and represents what is intended
Self-starter with critical thinking skills curiosity and a collaborative attitude.
Bonus: Familiarity with AI tools and software like Netsuite Airtable & Zendesk

Salary and Benefits:

$95000 plus bonus depending on experience
