Role Specifics and Benefits
In this assignment as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist you will perform a full spectrum of nuclear medicine imaging procedures including bone scans thyroid and parathyroid imaging myocardial perfusion imaging SPECT/CT and where eligible PET imaging. You will prepare radiopharmaceuticals with meticulous attention to safety and ALARA principles calibrate and operate imaging equipment and execute rigorous quality control to ensure the highest image quality and diagnostic accuracy. Your responsibilities extend to patient preparation positioning and comfort as well as accurate documentation dose calculations and proper labeling of studies. Youll work closely with physicians to review findings optimize protocols and participate in multidisciplinary discussions that shape patient care plans. The role also involves routine maintenance of imaging systems troubleshooting and contributing to department-wide QA initiatives. As the field evolves youll have opportunities to expand your skill set engage in cross-training across modalities and participate in ongoing professional development.
