Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse for our PM and Day Shifts to support our growing team in the Day Surgery unit. Youll play a crucial role in providing care throughout the entire surgical process from pre-op to post-anesthesia recovery ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care.

Shift Schedule:
- 9-Hour Shifts: Work 4 days per week.
- Shift Hours: 10:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 11:00 AM - 8:30 PM.
- Primarily PM Shifts: Please note that most shifts will be in the afternoon (PM) with the potential for more Day shifts to become available in the future.
- Flexible Fridays: Only work every other Friday!

Your Role as a Day Surgery RN

As part of our Surgical Services Team you will:

Provide Comprehensive Patient Care: Assist in all perioperative phasespre-op intra-op and recoveryensuring patients are well-prepared comfortable and informed.
Administer & Monitor Treatment: Work closely with surgeons anesthetists and other healthcare professionals to provide safe and effective perioperative care.
Ensure a Seamless Surgical Experience: Use your strong assessment and critical thinking skills to anticipate needs and respond to changes in the patients condition quickly.
Engage in Collaborative Care: Build meaningful connections with patients families and your healthcare team to enhance the overall surgical experience.

What You Will Do:

The Clinical Nurseis a competent practitioner who integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patients and families. Care is delivered using a deliberate systematic approach and practice is guided by increasing awareness of patterns of patient responses in recurrent situations. These nurses demonstrate a mastery of most technical skills and begin to view clinical situations from a patient and family focus as they provide professional nursing care within clinical areas/ campuses as required by staffing matrices. These nurses also supervise and direct delegated nursing acts commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the person supervised.

What You Will Need:

Associates Degree in Nursing required. Bachelors Degree is preferred

Wisconsin Registered Nurse License

Valid American Heart (AHA) Basic Life Support ( BLS) certification.
