Job Summary
Bowser Automotive is seeking a Pre-Owned Detail Lot Attendant to detail and prep pre-owned cars for the showroom and delivery. Attention to detail is required when cleaning and detailing cars. Internal and external customer relationships are necessary to ensure a smooth operation of the dealership.
The Essential Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Sales Manager of Pre-Owned vehicles.
- Wash vehicles that are brought to the Detail Shop ensuring showroom quality of every vehicle detailed.
- Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice such as spare tires radio etc.
- Record description of damages and notify Pre-Owned Sales Manager.
- Park vehicles in assigned areas when detail is completed or ready for delivery.
- Occasionally retrieve and/or deliver vehicles to other dealerships.
- During winter months keep doorways shoveled salted and cleared. Also clear snow and ice from cars in lot.
- Perform tasks as directed by Detail Manager and Pre-Owned Sales Manager (ie. emptying trash containers maintaining order and cleanliness in detail shop etc.).
Education and Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Attention to detail.
- Valid drivers license in good standing.
- Good judgment.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing/bending/stooping/walking no more than 8 hours per work day.
- Ability to work in wet environment.
- Ability to lift no more than 50 lbs. at a time.
