The Department of English at Lafayette College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position specializing in Creative Writing (Fiction) and Queer Literature beginning July 2026. Desirable areas of intersectional specialization include indigenous literature Asian-American literature and speculative fiction. Applicants must have a PhD in a related field and an MFA in Creative Writing.
The successful candidate will be able to teach introductory intermediate and advanced literature and creative writing courses within the major and contribute to the Colleges Common Course of Study. Candidates should provide evidence of excellence in teaching and a strong active research program. The teaching load is 2/2 in the first year and 3/2 thereafter.
