Step into the role
As a Mechanical Engineer in MilDefs Solutions team youll play a vital role in ensuring our products meet and exceed industry standards. At Solutions we build and deliver customized IT systems tailored to customer specifications. We turn their IT visions into reality by providing complete and robust infrastructure solutions. Your contributions will span system design including platform integration cable routing and creating robust solutions for harsh environments. Youll collaborate with internal teams and customers managing the process from concept to installation and verification. With your technical expertise and proactive problem-solving skills youll drive innovation and help deliver products that consistently surpass customer expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and execute integration design for MilDefs systems and platforms in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Design and verify external and internal cable systems for MilDef and third-party products ensuring they meet environmental and performance standards.
- Produce manufacturing drawings bills of materials.
- Work with cross-functional teams suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues and deliver optimal design solutions.
- Contribute to system design integration and validation.
- Support continuous improvements in systems engineering processes tools and documentation to enhance efficiency and innovation.
What you bring
- At least three years of experience in a similar role with a background in mechanical engineering.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Apply System Engineering methodology leveraging INCOSE and ISO 15288 standards for efficient reliable system design.
- Experience in mechanical design including familiarity with 2D/3D engineering tools (e.g. AutoCAD) and electronics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to consider the broader system perspective.
- A proactive and creative approach focused on delivering high-quality results and driving continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in both Swedish and English is necessary for this role.
