Description
As a Locum MD/DO you will be involved in providing high-quality surgical care working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to the overall health and well-being of patients. This role is essential in ensuring that our healthcare partners receive the support they need to maintain their standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations and assessments
- Perform surgical procedures as required
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in patient care planning and follow-up
- Ensure compliance with medical standards and regulations
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Stay informed on advancements in surgical practices and techniques
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current medical license in good standing
- Basic understanding of general surgical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Patient Volume: 31 per shift
General surgery call coverage
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
