Role Overview
The Junior SharePoint Developer will support the development and enhancement of components in an enterprise Document Management Solution (DMS) built on Microsoft 365. The role will involve building UI components designing simple workflows configuring SharePoint lists/libraries and supporting senior developers in SPFx and Graph API-based integrations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting a SharePoint development career and wanting to learn large-scale enterprise-grade M365 implementations.
Key Responsibilities
1. SharePoint Online Configuration & Support
Create and configure SharePoint lists libraries views content types and site components.
Implement basic metadata fields validation rules and list/library settings.
Support site provisioning site content updates and permission configurations.
2. SharePoint Development (Guided)
Assist in building SPFx components (web parts forms UI screens) using React TypeScript.
Work on basic UI enhancements styling updates and reusable component libraries.
Fix bugs perform enhancements and participate in code reviews.
3. Power Automate Workflows
Build simple flows for approvals routing notifications metadata updates.
Support senior developers in designing complex workflows and debugging flow failures.
Work with triggers conditions loops and standard M365 connectors.
4. Microsoft Graph API (Foundational)
5. Document Search & Retrieval
6. Testing & Documentation
Perform unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT support).
Document features workflows SPFx components and deployment steps.
Maintain Postman collections and update technical notes.
7. Collaboration & Learning
Work closely with Senior Developers Architects and QA Engineers.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups sprint reviews retrospectives).
Continuously learn new SharePoint/M365 capabilities.
Required Technical Skills
Core Skills
Good understanding of SharePoint Online (lists libraries columns permissions).
Exposure to SPFx development (React TypeScript) even academic or small-project level.
Basic understanding of Power Automate flows.
Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON.
Programming Skills
Additional Skills
Understanding of Microsoft 365 apps (Teams OneDrive SharePoint).
Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps (or similar tools).
Interest in learning Graph API metadata modeling and large-scale DMS concepts.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to PnPjs or PnP PowerShell.
Understanding of SharePoint permissions and security trimming.
Any internship/previous project with SharePoint/M365.
Soft Skills
Good communication and eagerness to learn.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail willingness to take guidance and proactive attitude.

Define site architecture content types metadata taxonomy managed properties and hub site strategy. Architect ActiveWarmCold storage tiering models optimized for performance (110 sec retrieval SLAs). Create scalable library-splitting and auto-archival patterns for libraries exceeding 100K items.
