Job Summary
Are you a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for maintaining high-performing production equipment An established packaging manufacturing company is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical maintenance activities and ensure optimal plant reliability.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the mechanical maintenance team to ensure safe efficient and high-quality work output
Plan coordinate and execute preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
Conduct mechanical fault-finding troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Ensure compliance with safety standards maintenance procedures and statutory requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and reduce downtime
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure effective communication across departments
Requirements:
Trade Test: Fitter or Millwright (NB)
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is advantageous
Experience working in corrugated packaging or a similar high-speed production environment is a strong advantage
Proven supervisory experience with the ability to manage teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Strong mechanical aptitude problem-solving abilities and a commitment to operational excellence
