Were looking for a Fab Test Engineer to join the Process Engineering Team at Snap Inc!

What youll do:

• Provide primary maintenance and troubleshooting support of standard and custom electrical and optical testing machines such as:

  • Electrical continuity testers

  • Custom electro-optical display testers

  • An advanced HVM Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machine

• Identify and recommend optimizations of these machines for reliability and accuracy

• Create and optimize AOI scan recipes

• Write production troubleshooting and maintenance procedures

• Handle and replace electrical tester probe cards

• Troubleshooting of electrical and optical sources and sensors

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Efficient practical hands-on problem solving skills

• Experience with testing displays

• Comfortable spending several hours per day in a cleanroom suit

• Familiarity with optical testing

• Can perform data analysis to reveal trends and identify outliers

• Understands principles of calibration and tool-to-tool matching

• Understands basic principles of light such as polarization

• Can interpret and work from high-level electrical schematics

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years of post-Bachelorsmechanical or hardware engineeringexperience; or Masters degree in a technical field 2 years of post-gradmechanical or hardware engineeringexperience; or PhD in a relevant technical field

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7 years of relevant experience

• 1 years experience with liquid crystal

• Experience with advanced AOI machines

• Basic-to-intermediate Python programming skills

Compensation

In the United States work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
