This is an exciting new role within the System Technology and Adaptive Intelligence (STAI) team in Gas Power Engineering (GPE) whose organizational vision is to create An artificial intelligence enhanced electric power & CO2 focused innovation team that supports and incubates new ventures and ideas through diligent engineering to provide cleaner more flexible power to the world.

We are seeking an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy Program Manager to join our Engineering AI Team. This role involves supporting the strategy and implementation of AI initiatives across GPE. Responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of the AI strategic roadmap to accelerate business value realization. This position involves collaboration with engineering stakeholders data scientists and AI delivery teams to drive innovation and efficiency using AI technology. It offers a growth-oriented opportunity to work with cross-functional teams enhancing our enterprise AI capabilities in Gas Power Engineering.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Execution:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI integration and innovation. Process the discovery and qualification of AI use-case ideas within a value stream as part of building its AI roadmap
    • Assist in the planning prioritization execution and delivery of AI projects ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes
    • Work to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI strategy ensuring timely delivery of agreed to outcomes
  • Collaboration and Managing Stakeholder Expectations:
    • Facilitate execution across cross-functional teams comprising data scientists software engineers responsible AI analysts and quality assurance
    • Support collaboration with business functional stakeholders (Gas Power Engineering Product Management Digital Technology and Advanced Research) managing expectations and adjusting to evolving conditions
  • Program Management:
    • Implement best practices in program management including resource allocation risk management scope changes and quality management
    • Monitor and report on project progress addressing any issues or deviations proactively
    • Coordinate execution across assigned projects driving shared approach and outcomes tracking
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI technologies and methodologies
    • Encourage the adoption of innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of AI programs
    • Help refine processes to optimize project outcomes and organizational value

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or computer science from an accredited university or college
  • At least 5 years experience in engineering or computer science with at least 2 years experience in AI (Machine Learning Computer Vision and/or Generative AI)
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; this role is not eligible for immigration or visa sponsorship. This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws. Consistent with U.S. export regulations we can only consider applicants who are U.S. persons as defined by law.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in AI program management with a examples of successful project delivery
  • Experience using project management methodologies to deliver business value
  • Clear understanding of AI and data science with specialized focus on Machine Learning Computer Vision and/or Generative AI
  • Understanding of the Gas Power business processes and functions with specialized focus on Engineering
  • Understanding and knowledge of portfolio management methodologies
  • Experience in Agile methodologies (preferable SAFE Agile Certified)
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Leadership and influencing skills capable of motivating and guiding diverse teams
  • Communication and interpersonal abilities adept at engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning in the field of artificial intelligence
  • Team player collaborates well with others to solve problems
  • Customer focus evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer
  • Change oriented generates process improvements facilitates change initiatives confronts difficult circumstances when encountered
  • Demonstrates the GE Vernova Way principles

The salary range for this position is $111200 - $185000 USD annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience their education and the work location. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This position will remain posted until at least October 23 2025.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Relocation Assistance Provided: No

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $98400.00 and $164000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
