Job Purpose and Impact
The Regional Packaging Manufacturing Technology Lead practitioner will lead a regional team of manufacturing technology professionals supporting all Food EMEA businesses (EOE SST CC Protein META Russia) to provide technical leadership and direct subject matter expertise in packaging manufacturing this role you will be responsible for building and sustaining packaging capabilities supporting compliance with the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and digital transformation and driving innovation productivity improvement and cost competitiveness in packaging.
You will deliver optimized performance of existing and new assets by collaborating cross functionally with the business and commercial leadership to meet business goals.
Key Accountabilities
- You will lead and manage the Packaging Manufacturing Technology Team setting strategic and operational priorities to ensure alignment with MSC and evolving business needs. This includes coaching team members guiding talent development and making decisions related to staffing and performance to build a high-impact capability that supports packaging innovation compliance and competitiveness across Food EMEA.
- Define and deploy the regional roadmap for the packaging technology including high-performance innovation understanding industry trends applying experience and mastery managing intellectual property leading the productivity improvement portfolio and governance across packaging technologies and partnering with business and commercial teams to understand customer needs.
- Own 23 core packaging technology domains (e.g. liquids filling rigid and corrugated packaging fat preparation)
- Represent packaging technology in EMEA leadership discussions.
- Coordinate with global packaging R&D regulatory and commercial teams.
- Directly provide manufacturing technology expertise to plants working with local teams governance teams other subject matter experts external experts and technical support to capital projects and identification and resolution of root causes to emerging issues.
- Support cross-functional collaboration and deployment of standardized safe and scalable packaging technology solutions.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with PPWR.
- Support digitalization and data transparency in packaging compliance.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in engineering technical or related field or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated work experience in packaging - bottling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience and expertise in the specific manufacturing technology area
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
