Navigator Recruiting client is a fast-growing 100-employee financial services company with $1B AUM and multiple entities and offices in several states. Established in 1980 the firm has long-valued educating clients in ways to preserve and build their wealth. The company itself has grown by 37% over the last three years and plans to continue growing. The firm is seeking to hire a Tax Associate to join the tax team in DTC and help the growing tax business. This in-office or hybrid full-time year-round Tax Accountant role involves preparing accurate tax returns for individuals (mainly) and small businesses (1120S 1065) and provides a critical role in helping clients achieve financial success and compliance. Youd be a part of a team of 8 including the Tax Director Tax Manager and 4 other Tax Associates. There is a strong opportunity for advancement to Tax Manager for the right individual.

This is a full-time in-office or hybrid position based in the Denver Tech Center (DTC) office. Hours are typically Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with some overtime possible at busier times.
Responsibilities:
Tax Preparation:
- Prepare individual and small business tax returns accurately and efficiently.
- Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local tax regulations.
Customer Service:
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client concerns and questions in a timely manner.
- Conduct client interviews to gather information about their tax situation.
- Explain tax return outcomes and provide tax planning advice.
Compliance and Accuracy:
- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations through ongoing education and training.
- Ensure all returns are prepared in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Verify the accuracy of data entered into tax software.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all client interactions and tax returns.
- Ensure all required documents are filed correctly and securely.
- Keep up to date with client files and follow up on missing information.
Training and Development:
- Participate in training sessions and continuing education to maintain professional credentials.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and software updates.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other tax professionals and office staff to ensure a seamless workflow.
- Assist in mentoring and training junior staff members as needed.
- Assist in marketing execution
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2years of experience in tax preparation.
- Strong knowledge of federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in UltraTaxtax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Superior communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
