Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of all equipment and machinery within the company. This includes performing routine maintenance troubleshooting and repairing equipment and keeping accurate records of maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong PLC programming background mechanical aptitude excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine maintenance on all equipment and machinery according to established schedules

- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions in a timely and efficient manner

- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities including repairs and replacements

- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity

- Communicate with production and other departments to address any maintenance needs or concerns

- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to all safety regulations

- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment as needed

- Monitor and order necessary supplies and parts to maintain inventory levels

- Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement process improvements

- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 5 years of experience in a maintenance role preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Proficient in using hand and power tools

- Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary

- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
