We are looking for a Global Trade Specialist who is detail-oriented and knowledgeable to help us follow international trade rules and make cross-border transactions go smoothly. The person who gets the job will be in charge of managing the companys import and export processes understanding global trade policies and working with both internal and external stakeholders to make the companys international business operations as efficient as possible. This job needs someone who knows a lot about U.S. and international trade laws can think critically and can organize things well.
Main Duties:
Trade Compliance: Make sure you follow all U.S. and international trade laws and rules such as EAR ITAR OFAC and U.S. Customs rules.
Documentation: Make check and keep all necessary import and export paperwork like commercial invoices packing lists and certificates of origin.
Classification: Use HTS ECCN and other relevant codes to sort products; find out where they came from and how much they are worth.
Process Optimization: Find and make changes to trade operations that will make them as efficient and cost-effective as possible.
Risk Management: Look at the risks that come with cross-border transactions and supply chain logistics and find ways to lower them.
Working together with stakeholders: Work with both internal teams (like logistics legal finance and sales) and external partners (like customs brokers and freight forwarders) to make sure that trade runs smoothly.
Audit and Recordkeeping: Do internal compliance audits and keep records that are accurate and up to date with the rules.
Training: Give staff the trade compliance training they need.
Regulatory Monitoring: Stay up to date on changes to international trade rules and let management know about possible effects and chances.
Qualifications:
You need a bachelors degree in International Business Supply Chain Management Logistics or a related field.
More than three years of experience in international logistics import/export compliance or global trade.
Good understanding of U.S. and international trade rules such as EAR ITAR OFAC and U.S. Customs.
Experience using ERP and trade management software.
Great skills in analysis organization and communication.
Ability to handle a lot of tasks at once in a busy setting.
You must be a U.S. citizen or have a permanent resident card.
Pay: The base salary is $75000 to $105000 a year depending on experience and qualifications.
Bonuses: Bonuses based on how well you do your job.
