The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and driving new B2B business opportunities building long-term partnerships and providing clients with innovative solutions tailored to their business needs. This role will have a specific focus on growing the Samsung brand within JB Hi-Fi NZ ensuring Samsung products and solutions are front of mind for B2B clients and achieving quarterly sales targets
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute a Joint Business Plan with Samsung to align strategies and increase joint sales revenue and Samsung market share within JB Hi-Fi NZ
- Manage the relationship between JB Hi-Fi stakeholders end customers and Samsung acting as the primary contact for Samsung B2B initiatives
- Liaise with Samsung B2B coordinators to streamline sharing of product specs pricing and collateral to support B2B clients
- Identify and grow new B2B opportunities collaborating with the wider sales team to maximize growt
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with B2B clients to determine their existing and future business needs
- Understand client objectives buying criteria and decision-making processes to form long-term business partnerships
- Actively manage the sales process from start to finish maintaining a robust sales pipeline and ensuring all sales enquiries are followed through
- Ensure reporting is up to date and accurate (meetings calls opportunities etc.
- Liaise with supply chain management to forecast stock and ensure Samsung product availability
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will need:
- 5 years of relevant sales experience ideally in B2B and technology sectors
- Proven ability to achieve budgeted and specific product sales targets
- Experience selling IT and appliances
- Exceptional sales skills with a proven track record
- Strong leadership engagement mentoring and motivation skills
- Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills
- Financial knowledge and business acumen
- Highly motivated able to work as part of a team
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Current Drivers License
