Job Summary
CNG Engineering is growing!
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Designer for our San Antonio Texas headquarters.
CNG Engineering is a San Antonio-based professional Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering firm that provides master planning design and building commissioning services for public and private sector projects across Texas.
Since 2004 CNG has provided superior designs that are clear concise and complete to exceed the client and end users expectations. Our commitment to paying Attention to Detail has enabled us to build a solid reputation in the Architectural Engineering and Construction (AEC) community as an MEP design firm with demonstrated proficiency in the design and planning of municipal/civic educational healthcare and commercial office facilities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design of branch circuit distribution systems for power and lighting in commercial facilities
- Design of overall site and building power distribution systems
- Perform various electrical calculations to support system designs
- Perform construction administration (CA) tasks such as reviewing submittals/shop drawings responding to RFIs and attending CA meetings
- Participate in site visits to evaluate field installations and conduct field observations
- Plan schedule conduct and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work while maintaining quality standards on all projects
- Participate in internal/external design coordination meetings
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication
- Team-oriented hands-on adaptive and client-focused
- Ability to work under pressure with demanding deadlines with a high sense of urgency
TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:
- Advanced knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Bluebeam
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Office Suite including Teams Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint
EXPERIENCE:
- Recent experience in electrical engineering design with an architectural or MEP firm
- Proficient interpersonal skills and experience helping maintain successful client relationships
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Current valid drivers license and insurable driving record
- Must pass a background check and drug test
COMPENSATION:
- Based on experience
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Monday 8:00AM 5:30PM
- Tuesday Thursday 7:30AM 5:30PM
- Friday - 7:30AM 12:00PM
WORK LOCATION:
- San Antonio Texas
WORK AUTHORIZATION:
- Eligible to work in the United States for any employer
