We are looking for a proactive and collaborative individual to coordinate Norfolk County Councils contribution to the NatureCityNorwich this role you will support the development and delivery of this ambitious initiative working with officers throughout multiple local authorities to facilitate nature recovery in Norwich.
NatureCityNorwich is a multi-partnership initiative funded by the National Lottery Heritage fund as part of the Nature Towns and Cities programme. This ambitious partnership project brings together Norwich City Council Norfolk County Council South Norfolk District Council Broadland District Council and Norfolk Wildlife Trust to work to protect and enhance Norwichs natural heritage. The partnership aims to address nature gaps in the city and improve access to green and blue spaces to shape a more climate resilient biodiverse and inclusive city.
In this role you will support the wider team to develop projects under this initiative. Responsibilities will include
Lead and collaborate on project development areas including new blended funding models; new nature friendly management models for blue and green assets; and new measurement models
Support in coordinating the development of key project areas working collaboratively with partners to achieve key project milestones outputs and outcomes
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities in the Nature City Norwich Boundary
Provide research about green and blue nature assets within the Nature City Norwich boundary
You will be highly organised proactive and capable of working autonomously and as part of a team with demonstrable experience of working in a project-based environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders are essential.
