The Senior Academic Planning and Process Manager role is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and coordinating complex academic planning business process improvements and operational delivery across the university. This role ensures the effective integration of academic systems compliance and planning functions that underpin the successful delivery of teaching and learning.
This role provides leadership in academic planning scheduling course lifecycle planning and quality assurance. It drives collaboration across faculties academic administration IT and student experience teams to align processes and systems with institutional priorities and regulatory frameworks.
Principal accountabilities are (but notlimited to):
Provide leadership and operational oversight of academic planning and process activities ensuring effective coordination between strategic direction (set by the Head of Department) and operational delivery (undertaken by Coordinators).
Lead the development monitoring and continuous improvement of academic planning scheduling and course lifecycle planning across all faculties.
Drive process enhancements that improve accuracy efficiency and complianceofacademic systems and planning workflows.
Partner with Digital IT and business stakeholders to ensure academic systems are configured andoptimisedto support institutional goals and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the production accuracy andtimelydelivery of academic reports including student progression academic scheduling and regulatory submissions.
Who you are:
To be successful in this role you will have:
Minimum 35 years experience in an academic planning systems or process leadership role within a higher education and/or VET context.
Demonstrated understanding of ASQA and TEQSA regulatory compliance requirements.
Experience in leading teams in an academic administration or systems environment
Proven ability to lead complex projects and transformation initiatives delivering measurable efficiency quality and service improvements.
Skilled in process designoptimisation and governance using Lean Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies.
Experienced in driving digital enablement automation and systemoptimisationin partnership with IT.
This is full time permanent position based at our Surry Hills campus in Sydney.
