The Opportunity
Mentally Healthy Workplaces Australia (MHWA) is set to become a world-first centre providing nationally coordinated leadership that facilitates collaboration inspires innovation and delivers impact in workplace mental health safety and wellbeing through research evidence-based solutions and implementation support.
We are seeking a passionate Senior Research Project Manager to coordinatearange of workplace mental health safety and wellbeingresearch projects that deliver evidence-based innovation and tangible impacts toAustralian workers and position plays a central role in coordinating co-design project development governance and reporting for initiatives delivered with MHWAs diverse Partners and supports project teams working across sectors. The role requires strong engagement with MHWAs Partners governing bodies MHWA team Monash University (Administering Institution) and other key stakeholders while fostering a positive values-driven environment where colleagues thrive.
This position oversees a portfolio of complex multi-partner research projects from early scoping through to full implementation with industry ensuring alignment with MHWAs strategy and measurable national impact. The role manages ethics approvals research governance project contracting and financial oversight while monitoring benefits realisation and long-term outcomes for industry and other priority groups. Success relies on strong stakeholder relationships clear communication effective collaboration and delivering practical solutions in a fast-paced start-up environment.
We are seeking someone with strong project management experience supported by relevant postgraduate qualifications or equivalent expertise and excellent research project and ethics management skills. The role requires advanced planning organisational and relationship management capabilities with a proven ability to work across diverse teams and navigate complex project environments.
