This role focuses on delivering accurate preconstruction cost estimates while also supporting US project coordination and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Estimator will work remotely and collaborate with the California-based team on commercial industrial and government projects. The ideal candidate has a solid engineering background strong estimating expertise and knowledgeable with U.S. construction standards codes and project delivery requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Review drawings specifications RFPs/RFQs and project documents to develop accurate electrical and low-voltage cost estimates
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical low-voltage security AV and related system
- Prepare competitive bid proposals pricing summaries and scopes of work
- Coordinate with procurement teams to validate material pricing vendor quotes and supplier cost data.
- Provide value-engineering recommendations and design-assist input when appropriate
- Support project setup documentation schedules submittals and administrative requirements after project award
- Assist project managers with client communications budget tracking material coordination and schedule updates
- Coordinate with field teams subcontractors and vendors to ensure adherence to project scope codes and specifications
- Prepare update and maintain CAD drawings riser diagrams single-line diagrams and other technical documentation
- Apply redlines field revisions and design adjustments throughout the project lifecycle
- Produce as-built documentation during project closeout
- Ensure all estimating and project deliverables comply with NEC NFPA California building codes and owner requirements
- Maintain high-quality work output through thorough QA/QC checks and technical accuracy
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering or a related Field
- 7 years of experience in electrical or low-voltage estimating within commercial industrial or government projects
- 4-5 years of US project experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. standards including NEC NFPA and relevant California codes
- Proficient in estimating tools such as Bluebeam Accubid PlanSwift or equivalent systems
- Skilled in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit is an advantage
- Ability to work independently in a remote/WFH environment and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- With at least 2 internet connection
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills
- Experience supporting U.S.-based particularly California electrical or low-voltage projects
