Commercial Finance Director Candy
This key role is integral to supporting the leadership team of one of our most iconic titles Candy Crush Saga. You will partner closely with the GM and Candy Leadership Team (CLT) to shape commercial and financial strategies provide insight and challenge and ensure Candys performance and plans are aligned with senior leadership expectations. Working alongside a dedicated FP&A team you will focus on driving forecasting direction business insight and strategic decision support helping to ensure Candy Crush Saga continues to thrive as a leading franchise within King.
This role is available to be based in either our London or Stockholm offices.
Your role within the Kingdom
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnering: Act as a trusted finance leader supporting the Candy Leadership Team providing input and challenge on commercial strategy resource allocation and investment decisions.
- Leadership & Accountability: Drive financial accountability for Candys performance and outlook ensuring clear alignment between commercial priorities financial targets and long-term strategic goals. Represent Candys financial perspective in senior forums with clarity and credibility.
- Forecasting & Planning: Lead the forecasting process for Candy by shaping assumptions aligning with business stakeholders and reviewing outputs in partnership with FP&A. Ensure forecasts balance ambition with sound financial rationale.
- Performance Management: Monitor and assess business performance identifying risks opportunities and areas requiring deeper analysis. Provide timely insight and recommendations to the GM and leadership team to drive performance.
- Insight Generation: Translate financial and non-financial data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. Lead analytical deep dives and initiative modelling to support decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships across game teams marketing and strategy ensuring financial implications are embedded in key forums and decisions.
- Strategic Projects & Business Cases: Partner with stakeholders to evaluate new initiatives contract renewals and long-range plans delivering robust financial analysis and modelling in partnership with FP&A.
- Leadership Across Finance: Play an active role in the broader Finance leadership community contributing to cross-franchise initiatives process improvement and capability development across the function.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a finance business partner to senior leaders in a fast-paced global organisation (gaming tech or digital industries preferred).
- Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of the drivers of revenue growth monetisation and marketing performance in a digital business.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge senior leadership with confidence in advocating for strategic priorities in senior forums.
- Skilled at translating financial and non-financial metrics into actionable insights and narratives for business leaders.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to land clear compelling performance narratives.
- Experience leading business cases evaluating investment opportunities and shaping commercial strategy.
- Collaborative and trusted relationship-builder able to work seamlessly across diverse functions and disciplines.
