Finance Operation Manager

About the role
In this role the manager is expected to oversee and work with the respective team leads on the day-to-day operations of the Finance Shared Service Centre out of KL office with a team of 40-50 Finance Associates responsible for O2C P2P R2R transactions for 6-8 countries in APAC. Given the relatively new establishment of the SSC the manager acts as a champion for it and is expected to identify areas of improvement in terms of processes compiles with Fugros compliance policies and drives for readiness of SSC to take over more financial activities from local finance to KL SSC in the long run.

In this role you will report to the Head of Finance APAC with a dotted line to Group FSSC operations Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee SSC and work closely with the team leads in O2C P2P R2R activities
• Ensures accounting of transactions are compliant with Fugro Internal Control System (ICS) and external (statutory) and internal policies/procedures
• Delivers high quality of service while complying with all standards and shared services blueprints
• Champions operational efficiencies and service improvements initiatives such as RPAs
• Manages both internal and external stakeholders
• Involves in onboarding and training of Inhouse new ERP system
• Manages FSSC personnel including manpower planning and staff development
• Oversees account management of entities serviced by FSSC
• Participates in ad hoc projects as required

Job Requirements:

• Min bachelors degree in accountancy or ACCA qualified
• Min 5 years relevant working experience in a SSC with min 3 years of Lead experience
• Audit experience will be an added advantage
• People management experience
• Excellent English language skills fluency in other languages will be an add advantage
• Excellent communication and people development skills
• Competencies: accurate analytical independent organized pro-active service minded team player
• Self-starter who does not mind getting operationally involved
• Proactive and positive approach to work
